Propolis powder contains flavonoids, phenolic acids, and natural aromatic resins that help calm surface shine and impart a clean after-feel. At low levels in emulsions, it can enhance overall sensory and add a light hue and natural note.

How to use:

●       Emulsions (cream/lotion): prepare a small paste with glycerin or propanediol (or use a ready hydro-glycolic/alcoholic extract); add in cool-down (≤ 45–50 °C) with homogenization; fine-filter if needed.

●       Toner/gel (as an extract): prepare a filtered extract in ethanol/propylene glycol/Aqua, then preserve appropriately.

Recommended usage levels in skincare:

●       Powder masks/cleansing powders: 0.5–10%

●       Emulsions (face/body leave-on): 0.05–0.5% as a fine dispersion (higher levels may intensify color/odor)

●       Aqueous/glycolic/hydroalcoholic extracts in toners/gels: 0.2–2% (as final extract percentage; depends on strength)

●       Scrubs/soaps/deodorizing body powders: 0.2–1%

Solubility:

●       Insoluble in Aqua and most oils as a raw powder; dispersible

●       Extractable/soluble in ethanol and propylene glycol; partially in hydroalcoholic or hydro-glycolic mixtures (filter to remove particulates)
