Rwanda Herb Powder
A fine herbal powder sold locally as “Rowanda Herb,” used as a gentle skin conditioner with a mild shine-reducing effect in masks and powder blends; helps calm surface shine and improve the look of pores.

“Rowanda Herb” powder is commonly used in rinse-off products (powder masks, cleansing products, scrubs). At low levels in emulsions, it can lend a light tightening feel and a natural tint; higher levels may increase color/odor or feel gritty, so moderate use is preferred. It disperses easily in dry blends and its components can be extracted into water or light hydroalcoholic/glycol solvents for use in toners and gels. A patch test is recommended to check for sensitivities.

How to use:
● Cleansing masks: blend dry with clays; wet at use with Aqua or a hydrosol to form a smooth paste.
● Emulsions (cream/lotion): disperse as a fine powder in a little glycerin, propanediol, or Aqua; add in cool-down with mixing and fine-filter if needed.
● Toner/gel (as an extract): prepare a filtered water/glycol or light hydroalcoholic extract and incorporate with an appropriate preservation system.

Recommended usage levels in skincare:
● Masks / cleansing powders: 2–20%
● Emulsions (face/body): 0.1–1% as a fine dispersion (higher levels may feel gritty)
● Aqueous extracts in toners/gels: 1–3% (depending on extract strength)

0.5–3%
Solubility:
● Insoluble in water and oils; dispersible as a powder.
